* At one of the first gigs Leppard did, something pretty stupid
happened to Steve. The band came on stage, everyone plugged in,
and Steve wanted to hit the strings just like
Pete Townsend
(The Who) used to do: make a jump, and while in the air, swing
his right arm
to slam the strings with a heavy sound. You must
admit, this would look very impressive. So Steve jumps, hits
the
strings and.....nothing happened. His amplifier didn't have
any power. You can imagine
how stupid it looked........

* Rick used to wander out to the stage (In the Round)
during the
opening acts last song. He had this disguise of a cap and a
false moustache. You
couldn't tell it was him. One day, the
other Leps stuck a sticker on his back that said "I AM RICK
ALLEN". It stayed on him and he got mobbed walking to the
stage. The other Leps: "We wouldn't do it all the
time because
we don't want to put him in danger, but it was pretty funny!"

* Some interviewers
can be funny when they show that they don't
know English very good. During a TV-show in a Spaninsh-speaking
country:
Interviewer: "You are number 1 in the USA, and it took you three
years to record, so now you're... easy?"
Joe: "...." (looks stunned and unable to think of anything to say,
he just nods his head...)
Interviewer: "...Happy?"
Joe: "Yes! Very happy!..."
